Bo

Black Labrador Retriever
70 pounds
Age: 10.5

(Adopted 2/2018)

Bo came to us with no name, poor fellow. He was so sweet and didn’t mind being crammed into the back of a car with two other large dogs. He just seemed so grateful and happy. His foster parents just adore him and liked the name “Bo” for him. We aren’t sure he hears but “Bo” he is.

Of the 5 dogs we recently took in in our effort to help make room for some of the Hurricane dogs, Bo seems the most easy going and healthy. He’s pretty much “turn key”.

We don’t think he has had much experience with other dogs because he lights up when he sees one and wants to run to it. Otherwise he’s doing pretty well on the lead, though it’s new to him.

He is settling in very nicely with his foster family. We do not know how he is with cats or chickens. But he’s housebroken and does well in the bath and car. He loves going on walks and the years are just slipping off of him as he gets used to good food, creature comforts, and love and security. He’s a really terrific dog.

As a senior he has some stiffness in his leg but his foster family is working on that. He’s fully vetted, has sparkly clean teeth, and a lot of baseline health information to go with him to his new veterinarian.

Bo is fostered in Olympia WA but he can travel to meet you if you aren’t too far away.
